Frequently Asked Questions

What is your return policy?

At CLEAN DESIGN HOME, we understand that sometimes the perfect home item may not be the perfect fit. That’s why we offer a return policy as outlined in the separate link. We will gladly accept a return for unused/unopened items within 30 days for a full refund on the original form of purchase. We appreciate you understanding that we are a small business, and we are not Amazon(!) so we do not accept returns, except on defective items, if they have been used.

How long will my online order take to arrive?

We know you’re eager to receive your new pillows, mattress or furnishings, and we work hard to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Most standard orders are processed and shipped within 3-5 business days. However, due to the ongoing global situation, there may be some delays outside of our control. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’ll keep you updated on the status of your order every step of the way.

How can I track my order?

Tracking your order is easy! Once your item has been shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this number to follow the progress of your package directly on the carrier’s website. If you have any questions or concerns about your order, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team at CLEAN DESIGN HOME. We’re here to help ensure your shopping experience is as smooth and satisfying as possible. Also, call our team at 800-830-3874 during regular business hours, and someone will try to assist if there are questions (note: you may have to leave a message, but we will call you back within one business day!)

What are your Environmental impacts?

Our manufacturing partner for textiles is certified to the following bodies to work constructively to protect public health and the environment:

  • STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX: one of the world’s best known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. You can be certain that every component (thread, button, accessory) has been tested for harmful substances with independent labs based on the extensive regulated and non-regulated substances that may be harmful to human health.
  • MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX: is a traceable consumer label for sustainable textiles and certifies that products are tested for harmful chemicals, and has been manufactured using environmentally friendly processes under socially responsible working conditions.
  • GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD (GOTS): is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria, based upon independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.
  • RECYCLED CLAIM STANDARD (RCS) by TEXTILE EXCHANGE: is a chain of custody standard to track recycled raw materials through the supply chain.
  • Through our efforts, the factory partners track the water and energy usage, and establish goals for reduction and waste management strategies.
What is your Sustainability commitment?

Our manufacturing partner has factory facilities in Bahrain and the United States, along with ancillary facilities in several other countries. The Bahrain factory recovers and reuses chemicals on site, thus reducing the amount of new chemicals to be made which also removes substantial pollutants from wastewater stream before it enters the wastewater treatment plants. These efforts reduce amount of energy required to biodegrade those chemicals. Since 2009, the factory has shown a 48% reduction in total emissions.

Additional practices include recycling of cooling water, reduced water use in production equipment through use of a reverse osmosis system that is able to reclaim for reuse 50% of the treated water from the facility. Recycling fiber has also totaled near 2 million pounds of recycled PET bottles for the batting fiber used in comforters and pillows – the equivalent of over 82 million sixteen ounce water bottles. This is very impressive when you know that recycling just 1 plastic bottle can generate enough energy to power a 60W light bulb for six (6) hours!
